Research and Records in the Record Room

If you are unable to come in person to the Record Room and/or you need the assistance of Record Room staff to locate documents, you will be charged a $10.00 Research fee.

Certified Copies:
If certified copy of one page is requested, $10.00 for the process and certified copy.
If more than one page is requested, $10.00 for the process and $1.00 per page

Exemplified Copies: $15 for the process and $1.00 per page

Uncertified Copies: $1.00 per page

Forms of Payment: Mailed in requests must be accompanied with a money order or cashier's check. For customers on site, Probate Court accepts credit cards, debit cards, cash, money orders or cashier's checks. Probate Court does not accept personal checks for research or copies of records. Probate Court does not accept American Express.

Please note: Effective August 1, 2022, there will be a 4.5% convenience fee assessed for any credit/ debit transaction.

All fees are nonrefundable.

Requesting Certified Copies of Marriage Documents

Click below to request a copy of your marriage certificate through Georgia Probate Records. Each digital certified copy will cost $18.00 plus a Convenience Fee of 4.5%;

Requesting Certified or Uncertified Copies of Estate Documents

• The fee for a certified copies of estate documents or files is $10.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page. No personal checks will be accepted.
• You can request certified copies of estate documents either in person or by mail to the following address:
